The Asian School, Dehradun, celebrated its 22 nd Annual Prize Giving Ceremony with great splendour and enthusiasm. The grand occasion stood as a powerful testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to honouring excellence, perseverance, and holistic development.
The distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Regional Officer, CBSE Dehradun, graced the ceremony with his esteemed presence. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, a solemn and auspicious ritual symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge.
The Asian School successfully conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme on Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices on 15th and 16th May 2026. The programme aimed at equipping educators with effective strategies to foster analytical thinking, creativity and innovation among students, thereby nurturing confident, independent and future-ready learners.

The 12th All India Inter-School ‘Asian Challenge’ Basketball Tournament 2026 concluded on Saturday, 9th May 2026, with a grand Closing Ceremony held at The Asian School, Dehradun. The prestigious tournament brought together talented young basketball players from renowned institutions across the country and celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
The Closing Ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Anant Vijay Dutt Thapliyal, Director-Principal, The Asian School, Dehradun, who was warmly welcomed by the school fraternity. The occasion was further graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Mr. Anoop Mukkanniyil, former Indian national basketball player, whose inspiring presence motivated the budding athletes.
The 12th All India Inter School Asian Challenge Basketball Tournament 2026 commenced on a vibrant and spirited note at The Asian School, Dehradun. The dignitaries were ceremoniously led in by student escorts to the tune of the school band, setting a grand and dignified tone for the event.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Robinder Kaur, Vice Principal, The Asian School, Jammu, in the gracious presence of Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja, Director, and Mr. Anant Vijay Dutt Thapliyal, Principal, The Asian School, Dehradun.
Capacity Building Program – School Health & Wellness Programme
The Asian School, Dehradun, under the leadership of its Principal, Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Datta, successfully hosted a two-day Capacity Building Program (CBP) on School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP) on 29th and 30th April 2026. The workshop was conducted under the aegis of the CBSE Centre of Excellence and aimed at strengthening educators’ capacity to promote holistic well-being among students.

The Asian School proudly hosted the Model United Nations Conference on 25th and 26th April 2026. The concept behind the Model United Nations (TAS AMUN) was to inspire students from classes VI to XII to consider issues that transcend their immediate surroundings. Its goal was to nurture skills like critical thinking, persuasive argumentation, decision-making and empowering participants to play an active role in shaping their own future and that of the global community.
The Asian School proudly organized the fourth edition of its Career Fair, titled “Imagine Tomorrow,” on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The event was thoughtfully curated to provide students with meaningful exposure to higher education opportunities and diverse career pathways across the globe. The Career Fair witnessed enthusiastic participation from 45 reputed universities, accompanied by their distinguished delegates, who presented their flagship programmes and engaged directly with students.
Victorious Orators: Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Triumph in the 24th Asian Challenge English Debate – 2026
Over the weekend, in a display of unparalleled rhetoric and intellectual prowess, 24th Asian Challenge was held at the beautiful White House Court. Surpassing a formidable lineup of 15 competing institutions, RIMC seized the coveted Rolling Trophy along with a substantial cash prize of Rs. 15,000/-. Furthermore, the remarkable St. Joseph’s Academy comprising Jaivant Sahni, Anmol Ahuja, secured the position of first runners-up, earning a commendable cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-.
