Two, one day Capacity Building Programmes (CBP) Workshops were hosted by The Asian School, Indira Nagar, on 13th and 14th March 2026. The workshop was conducted under CBP Workshop Hosted the guidance of the CBSE Board for the progressive nhancement of the education system in schools. The sessions were held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This inspiring thought set the tone for the workshop. The topic discussed on 13th March 2026 was Gender Sensitivity in Schools. The symposium was attended by teachers from various schools in Dehradun.
The resource persons appointed by the Board were Mr. Naveen Taneja, Principal of The Sapience School, Vikas Nagar, and Ms. Ruchi Pradhan Datta, Principal of The Asian School.
A skit on the theme of gender equality and awareness was presented by the guest teachers. This was followed by discussions and interactive sessions that encouraged active participation from all attendees. The teachers were made aware of the importance of modifying behaviour and attitudes to promote sensitivity and respect towards the needs and experiences of both girls and boys in the school environment.
The workshop proved to be highly informative and engaging, providing educators with valuable insights and practical strategies to create a more inclusive and sensitive educational atmosphere.
The topic of discussion on 14th March 2026 was Art Integration in the School Curriculum. The resource speakers appointed for the session were Mr. Rajesh Devrani, Principal of Mount Litera School, Roorkee, and Ms. Shalini Swaroop, a prominent freelancer in the field of education.

The discussion promoted a teaching approach that blended visual and performing arts such as dance, music, theatre, and visual arts with academic subjects like Mathematics, Science, and Languages to create engaging, experiential, and holistic learning experiences.
