Dehradun, 20 May 2025 — The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted a two-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) Workshop on Adolescent Education at The Asian School on the 19th and 20th of May 2025. The workshop, held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days, brought together 66 educators from various CBSE-affiliated schools across the region.
The sessions were facilitated by esteemed resource persons Mr. Anil Kumar Goyal, Vice
Principal of M.S. Public School, Sonipat, Haryana, and Ms. Namrata Sharma, Principal of The Horizon School, Dehradun—both distinguished for their extensive experience in adolescent psychology and educational leadership.
The workshop aimed to empower educators with essential insights and practical strategies to support adolescents during this transformative stage of development.
Key themes included:
● Understanding the physical, emotional, and psychological changes during adolescence
● Effective communication and counseling techniques
● Promoting life skills and values-based education
● Addressing peer pressure, bullying, and internet safety
● Creating a supportive and inclusive school environment
Interactive activities such as case studies, role plays, and group discussions enriched the sessions, making them dynamic and engaging. The facilitators underscored the significance of empathy, active listening, and the vital role of educators in shaping young minds.
The workshop concluded with a feedback session in which participants expressed appreciation for the insights shared and the opportunity to introspect and enhance their teaching practices. Certificates of participation were awarded to all attendees.
