The Asian School Celebrates 24th Founders Day

The Asian School, Dehradun celebrated its 24th Founder’s Day with zeal and zest. The ambiance was immersive and the lush ‘Asian Acres’ was adorned splendidly for the occasion. The parents and guests agglomerated on the upper terrace and looked avidly at their wards’ performances. The function was initiated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the honourable chief guest Mr. Ranvijay Singh Singha, Actor, Video Jockey and Mentor.
The welcome address by the Director, Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja ensued. He congratulated the students on their success in all spheres and thanked the parents who placed their faith in the school to improve the future of their children.
The Principal, Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Dutta, while presenting the Annual Report, briefed the audience about salient events and results of the past two years in scholastic and non-scholastic areas and highlighted the overall achievements of the school. Acknowledging the meritorious performance by Asianites, the CBSE achievers were felicitated on the occasion.
The distinguished Chief Guest, in his address thanked the Management for inviting him
and praised the school for emphasizing on the all round development of the students. He advised the students to be the best version of them and enjoy every opportunity that comes on their way.
He also ceremoniously launched the 24th edition of the school magazine, ‘Colors’ as well as the second issue of ‘Reflections’, a collection of short stories by Asianites.
In the cultural programme, the curtain raiser was ‘Swarnamrit’, a melodious performance by the school choir comprising junior and senior school. They deftly performed Rag Jog mesmerized the audience with the euphony. It was superseded by ‘Colours of India’ (Swarnim Bharat).The stage came alive through the invigorating dance performances of the talented students emphasizing on the cultural glory along with the recent achievements of India. The spectacle received fervent applause from the audience.
The President, Mr. Amarjeet Singh, the Vice President, Mr. Madanjeet Singh, the Directors- Mr. Tarunjyot Juneja, Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja and Mrs. Vartika Sah, the Board of governors of the Asian School, parents, students and the entire staff graced the occasion with their indispensable presence.
The Head Girl, Dishita Pandey shared her beautiful memories and thanked all her juniors and seniors for looking up to her and also the school authorities for entrusting her with a responsibility. The Head Boy, Shashwat Gupta, emphasized on the importance of the Asian School to him and what he learnt as a student. The bewitching evening concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the vice Head Girl, Naaysa Thackar.

On this occasion the school organized various Subject Exhibitions. The Chief Guest, who graced the occasion with his presence, was Dr. Dinesh Chauhan, Additional CMO, Dehradun and Mrs. Divya Sah as the Guest of Honour. Each department set forth impeccable projects that bespoke creativity and innovation and also reflected the theme of the occasion ‘The Colours of India’. The exhibition gladly received parents and students, who were thrilled and overwhelmed by the experience. It not only reflected the students’ assiduous efforts but also their crisp understanding of various concepts.
The Asian School also organized a Book Fair on this occasion, which flaunted a plethora of books from every genre.
