The Asian School, Dehradun, celebrated its 26th Founder Day on 17th October 2025 with great zeal and zest. The lush Asian Acres came alive with colour and festivity as parents and guests gathered on the upper terrace, eager to witness the much-awaited celebration.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Major General M.P.S. Gill, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Uttarakhand Sub Area, Dehradun, accompanied by Mrs. Gill.
Director Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja, in his address, shared his vision of holistic growth, applauding students’ excellence in academics, sports, culture, and leadership. Principal Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Datta presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s significant achievements in both scholastic and co-scholastic domains.
Meritorious CBSE achievers were felicitated, followed by the release of the 26th edition of Colors, the school magazine, along with Reflections a collection of students’ short stories and Midnight Hues, an anthology of poetry by Asianites.
Addressing the gathering, Major General Gill emphasised self-discipline, time management, and consistency, urging students to “make excellence a habit” and “keep going even when no one is watching.”
The cultural programme began with the school choir’s symphony of six seasons, followed by an energetic performance, by Groovers – Heal the World. The highlight of the evening was the musical play “The Eternal Shri Krishna”, a soul-stirring portrayal of Lord Krishna’s life and teachings, reminding all that Dharma always prevails through faith and wisdom.
President Mr. Amarjeet Singh, Mrs.Simi Juneja, the Directors—Mr. Taranjyot Juneja, Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja, and Mrs. Vartika Sah Juneja, along with parents, students, and staff, graced the occasion.
Co-Curricular Captain Aahna Bahl and Sports Captain Shaurya Basera presented the year’s achievements in their respective domains. Head Girl Anvishita Yadav and Head Boy Aarush Pratap Singh shared their heartfelt reflections on their journey as Asianites. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Head Girl Shreya Rajput, marking the end of a memorable celebration of pride and tradition.
