24th ‘Asian Challenge’ Inter-School English Debate Competition 2026

Victorious Orators: Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Triumph in the 24th Asian Challenge English Debate – 2026

Over the weekend, in a display of unparalleled rhetoric and intellectual prowess, 24th Asian Challenge was held at the beautiful White House Court.

Surpassing a formidable lineup of 15 competing institutions, RIMC seized the coveted Rolling Trophy along with a substantial cash prize of Rs. 15,000/-

Furthermore, the remarkable St. Joseph’s Academy comprising Jaivant Sahni, Anmol Ahuja, secured the position of first runners-up, earning a commendable cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-.

In the most awaited Debate Competition of every year renowned schools from Dehradun namely, Shikshankur The Global School, The TonsBridge School ,Rashtriya Indian Military College , Mount Fort Academy, Scholars Home , Ann Mary School , St Joseph’s Academy , Shri Ram Centennial School  , Indian Public School , Ecole Globale International Girls School, St George’s College, Summer Valley School, The Oasis School, The Aryan School and The Asian School .The participants spoke for and against the proposition on a very imperative topic-  –

The House believes that environmental protection must take precedence over national Economic interests.

The ceremonial inauguration, symbolized by the lighting of the lamp, was gracefully performed by The Principal, The Asian School and the esteemed panel of judges, infusing the occasion with auspiciousness and reverence.

Speaking on the occasion Ms. Surabhi Sapra (Entrepreneur and a professional wild life photographer), Ms. Neeraja Sisodia (Educator) and Ms. Charu Nautiyal (Educator) congratulated the winners and said that the topic was immaculate and eloquently dealt with by the students. They spoke in high volumes about the level of awareness, on the issue showcased, by the young participants.

Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Datta, The Principal, adorned the winners with their well-deserved prizes, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Director Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja, Bursar Mr. Sundesh Sharma, Head Senior School Mr.Mukesh Nangia, Head Middle School Mr. Sachin Aggarwal, Head mistress Ms. Anu Mehrotra, Deputy Head Mistress Ms. Surbhi Narula, Dean of activities Ms. Shweta Matta, esteemed faculty members, esteemed guests and the spirited student body.

The event culminated with a gracious vote of thanks, delivered by the, Vice Head Boy, Aadit Saini with heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their invaluable contributions towards making the 24th Asian Challenge English Debate a resounding success.
