A staff Vs students (The Asian School), cricket match was held at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy (ACA) grounds on 10th April 2023. The remarkable feature being that the staff team comprised members of the esteemed School Management -Vice President,Mr. Madanjeet Singh Juneja, Director – Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja, honourable guest- Col. Sumit Datta, school teaching and non teaching faculty and the sports coaches.
The day- night match commenced with the staff team winning the toss and electing to bowl first leading to the students’ team scoring 153 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs. Further in the competition the staff team acquired 143 runs, all out in 18.3 overs. Hence the recipient of the ‘ Late Sardarni Kawaljeet Kaur Trophy ‘ was the students’ team who won the match by 11 runs. Bhoomi Umar (Class 10) bagged the Best Batter’s Trophy scoring 51 runs, not out and Achyut Airan (Class 12) was the one to receive the Best Bowler’s Trophy taking 3 wickets in 4 overs conceding 18 runs.
